Initial Assessment
Start with a gentle, 1‑hour assessment with your own Women’s Health Specialist who gets to know you, your health, and how your pregnancy is progressing. This helps us understand your needs and create a personalised plan. We may use real‑time ultrasound to see how your pelvic floor is working so we can tailor treatment and track progress.
2x follow-up sessions
You’ll have a 30‑minute follow‑up around 36 weeks to learn perineal massage, a technique that can help reduce the risk of severe tearing and support postpartum healing. You’ll also have another session you can book whenever you need a little extra support, have questions or concerns before or after giving birth.
Post‑natal recovery check
At 6–10 weeks postpartum, you’ll have a gentle, 1‑hour review where your specialist checks your pelvic floor function, assesses your recovery, and shares guidance to ease any pain or discomfort – helping you return to movement safely and feel your best for you and your baby.

A 1‑hour full‑body assessment, two 30‑minute follow‑up sessions (including perineal massage preparation), a 6–10 week postnatal check, and a 1:1 Pilates session. Plus, your very own women's health specialist with you every step of the way.
How will pregnancy physiotherapy help me?
You'll have your own dedicated women’s health physiotherapist supporting you throughout pregnancy, helping you stay strong, move comfortably, and feel prepared for childbirth and recovery.
Is this safe for all stages of pregnancy?
Absolutely. Our pregnancy physio sessions are safe for mums‑to‑be at any stage of pregnancy and all fitness levels. If you have specific medical conditions or a high-risk pregnancy, please do let us know when booking and we'd also recommend checking with your healthcare provider before starting.
How much does this Pregnancy Programme cost?
How will pregnancy physiotherapy prepare me for labour and delivery?
Pregnancy physiotherapy prepares you for labour by strengthening your pelvic floor, improving how your body moves, and easing the aches that can make late pregnancy more challenging. Because everything is tailored to you, you’ll learn how to stay strong and active safely, protect your body during birth, and understand what’s happening as your body changes. You’ll also feel more confident knowing you have someone who listens, guides you, and shares expert advice throughout your journey.
When can I book sessions?
We have 16 clinics across London and Dorset open Monday to Friday, with hours typically running between 8am and 7pm (this varies slightly by location). Session availability also depends on your physiotherapist’s diary, but rest assured we’ll always find a time that works for you.
What exercises and techniques are typically used during pregnancy physiotherapy?
Absolutely, if you don’t experience any pain and you don’t have any warning from your doctor, you can continue your regular exercise routine. If you have any pain or discomfort, we might help you to change some exercises.
