How can we help?

Pregnancy Physio Packages | Six Physio

Pregnancy

Your pregnancy journey is completely unique to you, and it’s natural to feel daunted or overwhelmed at times. Whether you want to prepare for labour, understand which exercises are safe, check something that doesn’t feel quite right, or simply have a space to talk things through, our Women’s Health Physiotherapists are here for you.

We’ll take the time to listen to how you’re feeling and gently assess your body – including pelvic floor strength (with an internal exam if appropriate) and core control. From there, we’ll create a personalised plan that will include pelvic floor exercises, strength and mobility exercises and relaxation techniques to ease discomfort and help you feel more confident as you approach birth. From around 34 weeks, we will also guide you through the perineal massage to help you feel calmer and more prepared for labour.

Postnatal recovery

Six Physio

After giving birth, many mums have questions about recovery, getting back to exercise safely and overcoming pelvic health concerns. Our Postnatal Body Checks are designed to help this as we assess how you’re healing – including your posture, pelvic floor muscles and abdominal separation – and ease and treat any pain or discomfort.

We’ll then create a personalised recovery plan with tailored advice and exercises to help you rebuild strength and return to the activities you love – whether that’s running, hiking, working out or even higher‑intensity exercise like CrossFit – all at a pace that feels safe and manageable and so you don’t do too much too soon.

We can also support C‑section or perineal scar recovery, as well as breastfeeding‑related pain or concerns, soo you feel supported every step of the way.

How to get started

Step 1

Book your Initial Assessment

Whether you’re pre or postnatal, simply choose a time and clinic that works for you and book in with one of our specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapists. If you have any questions in the lead up to your appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help when you need us.

Step 2

Come in for your session

During your Initial Assessment, your Physiotherapist will ask a few questions to get to know how you’re feeling and your medical history to really understand you and your body. They’ll assess your body to identify any areas for concern, carry out gentle, hands‑on treatment, and create a safe, personalised plan with exercises and guidance tailored to your body.

Step 3

Continue your journey with confidence

You’ll receive a clear summary of your appointment as well as your personalised treatment plan. From here, you can book follow‑ups with your Physiotherapist whenever you need to keep progressing and feel your best.

Frequently asked questions

What's included in my Initial Assessment?
During your first session, you’ll sit down with one of our Women’s Health Physiotherapists to talk through your general health and how you're feeling day‑to‑day. Whether you’re pregnant or postnatal, this conversation helps us understand what’s going on so we can create a personalised treatment plan that feels right for your stage of motherhood. We'll assess your body and may use a real‑time ultrasound to look at how your pelvic floor is working but don't worry, it’s completely painless, non‑invasive and very accurate. This helps your physio understand your pelvic floor strength, tension and coordination so they can tailor your treatment accordingly.
Yes, absolutely! Our physiotherapy sessions are safe for all mums, whether you’re in early pregnancy, preparing for birth, or navigating your postnatal recovery. We tailor everything to your stage, your symptoms and your comfort level. If you have specific medical conditions or a high‑risk pregnancy, please let us know when booking.
We have 16 clinics across London, Lindfield and Dorset open Monday to Friday, with hours typically running between 8am and 8pm (this varies slightly by location). Appointment availability also depends on your physiotherapist’s diary, but rest assured we’ll always find a time that works for you.
